Areas of Expertise

Dr. Ángel Vásquez is a clinical-community psychologist with expertise in behavioral health treatments in rural and indigenous populations. He is currently the project director of the NIDA Clinical Trials Network #0096 and oversees the research project at all stages in terms of grant administration, recruitment of clinical sites and providers, organization of the meetings for the advisory board to culturally tailor medications for opioid use disorder, interpretation of results, and publications. Dr. Vasquez also provides oversight for regulatory and quality assurance, and serves as the primary point of contact to study sites regarding IRB, study recruitment, and meeting the aims of CTN 0096.
