Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Undergraduate students have opportunities to work in individual investigators' labs as volunteers or through 499 courses for research credit. Research experiences vary with the individual lab; most Principal Investigators expect students to make a minimum one year commitment to the research lab. Research opportunities may include data entry experience, statistical analysis software experience, learning and using complex behavioral rating systems, recruitment and screening of research participants by telephone or in the community, and other forms of direct contact with research participants. Opportunities to prepare research poster presentations and to contribute to scientific publications are available in some labs. These research experiences help students and volunteers expand their knowledge of research principles and methods, while gaining experience in a research setting. Our students and volunteers are valued members of our research teams, and at least some CASAA investigators have openings every semester for interested and qualified individuals.

Interested students should review individual CASAA investigators' pages and contact them directly if interested in their work.
