Primary Research Area

My research is committed to designing, developing, and implementing digital health interventions to improve treatment outcomes for people struggling with addictive behaviors. This has included a focus on harm reduction approaches, mindfulness-based interventions, and Machine Learning. I am also a licensed clinical psychologist with experience delivering many evidence-based and manualized interventions. My recent research has focused on developing a pharmacist-delivered opioid storage and safety intervention and a digital health intervention for individuals with chronic pain and opioid use disorder. I am also culturally adapting integrated Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention for Hispanic/Latino people with chronic pain and opioid use disorder.
