Primary Research Area 

Christian C. Garcia is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of New Mexico's Center on Alcohol, Substance Use, And Addictions (UNM CASAA), funded by a T32 grant from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). He is passionate about teaching/mentoring and conducting community-participatory research. Working with his mentors Dr. Katie Witkiewitz and Dr. Matthew R. Pearson, Christian will continue to develop his program of research addressing disparities in alcohol and other substance use related to age/older adults.
